Tamana was admitted as a solicitor in October 2009 in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She is also on the roll of practitioners of the High Court of Australia. In the period 2013 to 2017, Tamana was the Principal of a boutique legal practice, JAS Legal Pty Ltd. Over the years Tamana has gained considerable experience in Family Law in both property and children’s matters, Estates, Wills, Conveyancing, Small Civil Disputes, and Criminal Law matters. Tamana is a skilled negotiator and a passionate advocate and litigator.
Tamana is an accredited family dispute resolution practitioner and mediator. She has completed her training with the College of Law and registered with the Attorney General’s Department.
In 2017 Tamana co-founded Hikma Legal for those seeking to resolve legal matters in a timely and amicable fashion. Tamana hopes to empower those in disadvantaged positions with adequate legal resources and information to navigate through their own legal disputes confidently, with or without lawyers.
Tamana has also been a research fellow at the University of Sydney’s law school. Graduating with 1st degree honours, Tamana has a Master's degree in Islamic Studies from Charles Sturt University. Tamana appears as a panelist on ABC RN’s God Forbid program discussing diverse subjects. Tamana has a passion for community work, protecting human rights and serving and supporting those in need during difficult times.
